Eat Yourself Beautiful – Beauty Food

True beauty comes from within – we all know this saying. Our personality, our well-being and our charisma have a decisive influence on how we are perceived by others. But our diet also has a direct effect on our appearance, especially our skin, hair and nails, and it is therefore important to know which foods have a positive effect on our beauty and thus count as “beauty food”. We want to give you a few tips and ideas, which beauty food you can easily integrate into your everyday life and improve your daily beauty routine – and the whole thing with pleasure.

Especially in summer, we rely on berries that grow right outside our front door – strawberries, raspberries, currants and blueberries can be easily planted and picked in the garden itself or sourced regionally. The berries contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin E, which boost collagen formation. Furthermore, berries are antioxidants and therefore help us reduce visible signs of aging.

We love to enjoy the berries simply as a small snack between meals, but also like to eat them for breakfast in yogurt and with oatmeal. Due to the natural sweetness of the berries, no further added sugar is necessary and the breakfast is not only delicious but also healthy. Tip: This breakfast can also be supplemented with our Avy&Dan Energy Beauty Powder, which provides you with additional power for the whole day.

For particularly hot days, we mash or puree a few berries, mix them with natural yogurt and freeze them in a suitable form for ice cream – after only a few hours, this healthy refreshment provides cooling.

If you want to enjoy berries not only in the summer, you can also use frozen berries out of season. These are sometimes a bit sourer than fresh ones, but still delicious.

Carrots contain a lot of vitamin A, C and E, as well as the natural pigment beta-carotene. This substance conjures a soft tan and a beautiful glow on our skin and is also important for our eyesight. Carrots are low in calories and can be sourced regionally, which is why we are such fans of these colourful sticks. Carrots don’t just taste great on their own as a small snack, we also love carrot vegetables as a side dish that conjures up colour on the plate. Especially in the summer, we also like to make a carrot salad, for which the carrots are simply grated and mixed with the favourite dressing. We like to use white balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a little salt and pepper. Sometimes we also mix some yogurt and curry powder into the dressing, which gives the salad a special flavour. As a topping, we recommend sprinkling walnut pieces on the salad. Walnuts contain vitamin E, iron and zinc and are therefore also real beauty boosters. In addition, they can also be sourced regionally and taste great in combination with the carrot salad.

The kitchen herb parsley provides if it is consumed raw, especially vitamin A and C as well as iron. The great thing about it is that you can simply put a small pot of parsley in the kitchen or plant it on the balcony or in the garden and always harvest it fresh from the plant. We refine many dishes with fresh parsley to add even more valuable nutrients to our food. For example, parsley goes great with potatoes, various salads, lentils and fish. We also like to add parsley to our green smoothies – great for taste and great for our bodies. The smoothies can also be additionally spiced up with our Energy Beauty Powder and are then not only a vitamin but also energy bombs.

Turmeric is already known as a superfood and is also called the golden spice – not only because of its colour but also because of its valuable ingredients. Turmeric contains the antioxidant curcumin, which protects our body from free radicals and thus has a positive influence on our skin health. Turmeric is also said to be analgesic, antibacterial and digestive – a true miracle cure. If you like the spicy aroma – as we do – you can mix turmeric under your muesli or in a smoothie. But turmeric is also very well suited to refine salads or as the main spice in a soup or risotto. Tip: Always take turmeric in conjunction with a pinch of black pepper, because so the body can better absorb the valuable ingredients.

We could continue the list of beauty food for a long time but have focused on these four delicious beautifiers for this article. Just try something new and support your well-being and beauty through a balanced and healthy diet.
